1. AGREEMENT TO TERMS

These Terms of Use constitute a legally binding agreement made between you, whether personally or on behalf of an entity (“you”) and Remmen Media (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), concerning your access to and use of the https://recipenova.com website, as well as any other media form, media channel, mobile website, or related platform that links to these Terms (collectively, the “Site”).

By accessing or using the Site, you agree that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use.
IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH THESE TERMS, YOU ARE PROHIBITED FROM USING THE SITE AND MUST STOP USING IT IMMEDIATELY.

We may update or change these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above. By continuing to use the Site after changes are posted, you accept the revised Terms.

The Site is intended for users who are at least 18 years old. Persons under the age of 18 are not permitted to use or register for the Site.

You are responsible for complying with local laws in your location. If access to the Site is illegal in your jurisdiction, you access it at your own risk.

2. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

Unless otherwise stated, the Site and all content on the Site — including text, recipes, images, graphics, logos, design, layout, and functionality (collectively, the “Content”) — are owned by us or licensed to us, and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

The Content is provided “AS IS” for your personal, non-commercial use only.

Except as allowed in these Terms, no part of the Site or Content may be copied, reproduced, republished, uploaded, posted, publicly displayed, translated, sold, licensed, or distributed for any commercial purpose without our prior written permission.

We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to access and use the Site and to download or print parts of the Content you have properly accessed — strictly for your personal, non-commercial use.

All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved.

3. USER REPRESENTATIONS

By using the Site, you confirm that:

  1. You have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms.
  2. You are not a minor in your place of residence.
  3. You will not access the Site through automated or non-human means (bots, scripts, scraping tools, etc.) unless explicitly allowed.
  4. You will not use the Site for any illegal or unauthorized purposes.
  5. Your use of the Site will not violate any applicable laws or regulations.

If we believe any information you provide is false, outdated, incomplete, or violates these Terms, we may suspend or terminate your access.

4. PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES

You agree not to:

  • Systematically collect data or content from the Site to create or train a database, directory, dataset, AI model, or competitor service without our written permission.
  • Attempt to trick, defraud, or mislead us or other users.
  • Interfere with security features of the Site or attempt to bypass protections that limit copying or access.
  • Disparage or harm us or the Site.
  • Use information from the Site to harass, threaten, or harm another person.
  • Misuse our support channels or submit false reports.
  • Use the Site in violation of any law or regulation.
  • Frame or mirror the Site without permission.
  • Upload or transmit malware, viruses, spam, automated mass messages, or anything that disrupts the Site.
  • Use automated tools (robots, scrapers, data miners, etc.) without our express permission.
  • Remove copyright or ownership notices from any Content.
  • Impersonate another person or pretend to be us.
  • Upload tracking tools, spyware, or similar technologies without consent.
  • Interfere with or overload the Site’s performance.
  • Attempt to bypass access controls or security features.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Site’s software except where this is allowed by mandatory law.
  • Use the Site to advertise or sell products/services without written approval.
  • Use the Site to compete with us or to create a commercial offering based on our Content.

5. USER GENERATED CONTRIBUTIONS

At this time, the Site does not allow public user submissions (such as comments, uploads, or recipe submissions).

If in the future we allow submissions — for example, comments on recipes, photos of your results, or suggestions — those submissions (“Contributions”) may be visible to other users and may be stored and/or displayed by us consistent with our Privacy Policy.

By submitting any Contribution, you confirm that:

  • You own it, or you are allowed to share it.
  • It does not violate anyone else’s rights (copyright, privacy, trademarks, etc.).
  • It is not illegal, abusive, threatening, defamatory, hateful, harassing, or otherwise harmful.
  • It does not include personal data about someone else without their permission.
  • It does not target or attack someone based on race, gender, age, orientation, disability, nationality, or similar protected characteristics.
  • It does not include or depict minors in any harmful or sexual context.
  • It is not spam, promotional junk, chain letters, pyramid schemes, or misleading advertising.

We reserve the right (but are not required) to remove or refuse any Contribution for any reason.

6. CONTRIBUTION LICENSE

If you send us content (feedback, recipe suggestions, corrections, photos, testimonials, etc.), you agree that we may use, store, edit, display, publish, and share that content for any lawful purpose related to operating and improving the Site.

You keep ownership of your own content. We do not claim ownership over your Contributions.
But you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use and display them.

You agree we are not responsible for statements made by you in your Contributions.

7. SUBMISSIONS

Any ideas, suggestions, recipe tweaks, improvement notes, or other feedback you send us (“Submissions”) are considered non-confidential and become our property.

We may use or publish these ideas for any purpose (including commercial use) without paying you.

You confirm that:

  • Your Submissions are original to you or you’re allowed to share them.
  • We will not be restricted in using them.

8. THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES AND CONTENT

The Site may link to or reference third-party websites, products, tools, or services (“Third-Party Websites”), or display content from third parties (“Third-Party Content”).

We do not control, approve, or guarantee any Third-Party Websites or Third-Party Content. We are not responsible for:

  • Accuracy
  • Safety
  • Privacy practices
  • Quality
  • Availability
  • Any purchase you make through them

Any interaction you have with a third party is strictly between you and that third party. You agree we are not responsible for any damage or loss caused by third-party sites, products, or content.

9. ADVERTISERS AND AFFILIATES

We may display ads, affiliate links, sponsored recommendations, or other promotional content on the Site.

If you click an affiliate link or purchase a recommended product or service, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This does not affect what we choose to feature.

If you are an advertiser or sponsor, you are fully responsible for:

  • The accuracy and legality of your claims
  • The products/services you promote
  • Having the rights to use any logos, images, or trademarks shown in your ad

We provide ad/sponsored space only. We are not responsible for what is being advertised or sold by third parties.

10. SITE MANAGEMENT

We reserve the right (but are not required to):

  1. Monitor the Site for violations of these Terms.
  2. Take legal or technical action against anyone who breaks the law or these Terms.
  3. Limit, restrict, or disable access to any content you submit, at our discretion.
  4. Remove content or files that are large, harmful, illegal, or otherwise problematic.
  5. Manage the Site in a way that protects our rights and keeps the Site functional.

11. TERM AND TERMINATION

These Terms apply while you are using the Site.

We may, at our sole discretion and without notice, deny access to the Site to any person for any reason, including (but not limited to) violating these Terms, violating the law, abusive behavior, scraping content, or attempting to interfere with the Site.

We may block IP addresses, remove content you’ve submitted, or take other action to protect the Site.

If we disable or block your access, you are not allowed to try to access the Site again under a different identity.

12. MODIFICATIONS AND INTERRUPTIONS

We reserve the right to update, remove, change, pause, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time, without notice.

We do not guarantee the Site will always be available, error-free, or uninterrupted. We are not responsible for any downtime, delays, data loss, or interruptions.

We are not required to update Site content, even if it becomes out of date.

13. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms of Use and your use of the Site are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Norway, without regard to conflict of law rules.

Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be handled exclusively in the courts of Norway. By using the Site, you consent to that jurisdiction and venue.

14. RECIPE ACCURACY, AI ASSISTANCE, AND FOOD SAFETY

RecipeNova provides recipes, ingredient lists, preparation steps, cooking times, nutritional estimates, and related kitchen advice (“Recipe Content”).

We make every effort to ensure that recipes on this Site are:

  • based on real recipes from trusted sources,
  • inspired by proven dishes that have been successfully prepared in real kitchens,
  • supported by a large database of established recipes,
  • and organized, adapted, or refined with the help of AI-assisted tools.

However:

  • Results can vary depending on ingredients, tools, timing, temperature accuracy, and cooking skill.
  • You are responsible for checking ingredients for allergens, dietary restrictions, or intolerances.
  • You are responsible for proper food handling, safe internal cooking temperatures, and storage practices to avoid illness.

Any nutritional information or timing listed on the Site is provided for convenience only and may not be exact. You are responsible for verifying any nutritional, dietary, medical, or safety information that matters to you.

By using recipes from this Site, you agree that you do so at your own risk.

15. CORRECTIONS

The Site may contain errors, typos, or missing information (including in recipes, cook times, nutrition data, availability, pricing, etc.).

We reserve the right to correct or update information on the Site at any time, without prior notice.

16. DISCLAIMER

THE SITE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.”
YOUR USE OF THE SITE IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties — express or implied — including (but not limited to) fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy.

We do not guarantee:

  1. That the Site will always be available or error-free.
  2. That any recipe, method, or advice will work the same way in every kitchen.
  3. That any third-party links, products, tools, or services are safe, accurate, or appropriate.
  4. That data you send to us cannot be accessed unlawfully by a third party.

Use your best judgment with any purchase, recipe, or recommendation found on this Site.

17. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Remmen Media — including its owners, team members, contractors, and partners — will not be liable for any:

  • direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages,
  • loss of profits, data, reputation, or revenue,
  • personal injury or property damage,
    arising from or related to your use of the Site, even if we were advised such damage could happen.

If, despite these limits, we are found liable to you for any reason, our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid us (if anything) in the 30 days before the claim arose.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty disclaimers or liability limits. In those places, our liability will be limited to the maximum extent allowed by law.

18. INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Remmen Media (and our owners, affiliates, partners, and team members) from any claim, loss, damage, liability, or expense — including reasonable legal fees — arising from:

  1. Your use of the Site,
  2. Your breach of these Terms,
  3. Your violation of any law or third-party rights, or
  4. Any content or data you submit to us.

We may take over the defense of any matter you are required to indemnify. If we do, you agree to cooperate.

19. USER DATA

We may store certain data related to your visit and use of the Site for performance, analytics, security, or legal reasons.

We take reasonable steps to secure and back up data, but we cannot guarantee there will never be data loss or corruption. You agree that we are not liable for any loss or corruption of data connected to your use of the Site.
